CUYAHOGA FALLS - COMMUNITY INFORMATION

Cuyahoga Falls is the second largest city in Summit County, Cuyahoga Falls is located near Akron and Cleveland and is accessible by major interstates including I-271, I-480, I-80 (Ohio Turnpike), I-76, I-77, and State Route 8.

HOUSING - Cuyahoga Falls offers a wide range of housing options including apartments, condominiums, single-family neighborhoods and rural areas

UTILITIES - Cuyahoga Falls owns and operates its own water, sanitation, and electric systems. (AMP Ohio) Water rates are the lowest in the area, and our electric rates are typically at least 38% lower than local investor owned utilities.

POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENT - Dedicated professionals in the police and fire departments. Cuyahoga Falls has a low crime rate, excellent emergency medical service, and a class 3 fire insurance rating.

EDUCATION - Cuyahoga Falls has 2 School Districts, which include 4 high schools, 5 middle schools, and 13 private and public elementary schools. Cuyahoga Falls is also close to Kent State University and The University of Akron.

BUSINESS CLIMATE - Cuyahoga Falls is a progressive business community with a confident growth pattern. Development has increased 163% over the last five years, and we have over 500 acres of industrial land available for development.

The City of Cuyahoga Falls has an Economic Development Department called “Community Development” (330-971-8142) offering more demographics and information on Enterprise Zone, Community Reinvestment Area and Foreign Trade Zone.  The Chamber of Commerce also offers information on the business community.

CHURCHES, LIBRARY, HOSPITAL - 39 churches, a free public library, www.cuyahogafallslibrary.org a community hospital, www.summahealth.org outstanding City services, low utility rates and a great location make Cuyahoga Falls a great place to live and work.
